Izzy - "Beekeepers" Webcomic
For her project in ProPEL, Izzy Boyle chose to plan and create a webcomic titled "Beekeeper's Club". Izzy wanted to begin a project she'd continue after her semester here, so she tailored a story personally to her interests. This comic deals with dark themes such as loss and grief, however also introduces paranormal and humorous topics.
Throughout the semester, she spent the majority of her time writing the story, developing the characters, and drawing -- lots of drawing. Once she got a hang of using her elements, a Wacom Intuos graphics tablet and Adobe Photoshop, she began drawing draft frames by the chapter. She'd later finalize pages individually to make sure each was ready for publishing. The first release of pages was scheduled for the 18th of January, 2017.
