Ridhima’s Propel project is dedicated to hosting and organizing a fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities Manitoba in concert with McDonald’s restaurant St. Boniface and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Football Club. The central idea of her project is to bring community and entrepreneurship together. Ridhima chose RMHC because she believes in their mission. She feels that it is very important to stay close to your loved ones during difficult and adverse times.
Being the sole coordinator of this event, Ridhima has further developed her communication skills. She has gained confidence in her voice and has improved the clarity of her communication. She achieved this by meeting different people and organizations throughout the project. Ridhima's project has helped her to build a strong and useful network outside of the school.
Her event - which she calls McFamily day - is designed to raise awareness about Ronald McDonald House Charities and to keep families together. It is about telling the community that you are not alone and there are people out there to help. It is an opportunity to give back to the community.
