Victoria - Folk Artist Development
Victoria’s project revolved around writing and performing her own music. After spending the last several years developing her emerging songwriting skills, Victoria decided it was time to take her original music to the stage. She has written five songs in five weeks, and now has enough material to perform a 45-minute set on her own. Victoria’s focus this semester is learning how to become an independent artist. She is learning how to find performance opportunities and craft the best submissions for gigs. Victoria is gaining skills by consistently practicing her performing. She performs at open mics and applies to gigs around the city. She believes the best way to get good at something is to just keep doing it.
